The 2026 Waikato Master Plumbers Awards will be held at 7pm on Friday the 25th of September 2026, at Wintec Atrium, Anglesea Street, Hamilton.
These awards are aimed to acknowledge and reward high achievement across our association’s region. They will provide recognition for trades people, staff whose company is a member of Waikato Master Plumbers and apprentices undertaking training at Wintec campus in Hamilton.
We believe in supporting those for outstanding attitude, conduct, skills and workmanship. A winner of these awards should understand that it recognises a higher achievement in quality, performance, workmanship and will provide an increased profile within the industry. It also provides an opportunity for winners to be nominated for Master Plumbers National Awards.
We encourage you to nominate your company and/or your staff for as many of the categories listed below, using the entry criteria as a basis for any nomination).

This award recognises an outstanding recently completed year 1 apprentice who have demonstrated hard work, commitment, and determination to stand out amongst their peers.Apprentices are the lifeblood of our industry and it is important we can attract and retain the best young people entering the workforce.

This award recognises an outstanding recently completed year 2 apprentice who has demonstrated hard work, commitment, and determination to stand out amongst their peers.
This award recognises an outstanding recently completed year 3 apprentice who have demonstrated hard work, commitment, and determination to stand out amongst their peers.
This award recognises an outstanding recently completed year 4 apprentice who have demonstrated hard work, commitment, and determination to stand out amongst their peers.
This award recognises excellence in the trade skills of an individual Certifying Gasfitter, who is employed by a Master Plumbers’ member business. The winner will have demonstrated ability in trade calculations; in the selection of materials appropriate to the specifications and design of their work; and in applying relevant documentation and regulatory compliance to their work.
This award recognises excellence in the trade skills of an individual Certifying Drainlayer, who is employed by a Master Plumbers’ member business. The winner will have demonstrated ability in trade calculations; in the selection of materials appropriate to the specifications and design of their work; and in applying relevant documentation and regulatory compliance to their work.
This award recognises excellence in the trade skills of an individual Certifying Plumber, who is employed by a Master Plumbers’ member business. The winner will have demonstrated ability in trade calculations; in the selection of materials appropriate to the specifications and design of their work; and in applying relevant documentation and regulatory compliance to their work.
This award recognises an individual/company who has gone beyond the call of duty to help educate and support people entering the industry.
This award recognises those people who support our industry, who are not necessarily licensed practitioners but who have displayed consistent excellence and service in their work.
This award recognises commitment to Master Plumbers, to the industry, to running a successful business and to developing young and future plumbers.
This award is for a person who demonstrates exceptional team skills or leadership qualities, at either work or in their local community or sporting activity or participates in some extra training or study or cultural activities that enhance themselves or your business.
This award recognises a woman who has made an outstanding contribution to the plumbing, gasfitting or drainlaying industry.
This award recognises outstanding recently qualified tradespersons who have demonstrated hard work, commitment, and determination to achieve industry success.Apprentices are the lifeblood of our industry and it is important we can attract and retain the best young people entering the workforce.A top recently qualified tradesperson will be selected from each of the three trades of Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainlaying. A finalist may only represent one trade even where they hold two or more trade licences although they may enter more than one category.
This award recognises a Master Plumbers member business that can clearly demonstrate its business acumen and drive for success. The recipient will exemplify the highest levels of professionalism and service. The winner of this award will have an application put forward at the NZ Master Plumber of the Year awards.
