The results of the 2026 Master Plumbers, Gasfitters & Drainlayers NZ Board Director elections were announced at the Annual General Meeting, held during the 2026 NZ Plumbing Conference in Kirikiriroa Hamilton on June 4th.

Congratulations to Jon Lewis, who was re-elected to the Board, and a warm welcome to Jacob Smith, who joins as a new Board Director. Thank you to everyone who put their name forward for election and for their commitment to supporting the future of Master Plumbers and the wider industry.

The 2026 Board also welcomes Rhiannon Jarvis of Jarvis Plumbing & Gasworks in Lower Hutt as this year's Board Intern.

The AGM also marked a significant leadership transition with Craig Foley retiring from the Board after 13 years of dedicated service, including 10 years as Chair. Craig was recognised at the 2026 NZ Plumbing Awards for his outstanding contribution to Master Plumbers and the plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying industry.

Taking over the role is Felicity Caird, who becomes the first female Chair in Master Plumbers' 125-year history. We congratulate Felicity on her appointment and look forward to her leadership in the years ahead.

The organisation also acknowledges the contribution of retiring Director Nick Paris, whose passion and enthusiasm during his three-year term helped strengthen the work of the Board.
