Q: What if I'm already a Waitomo account holder?

A: We want to ensure you take advantage of the exclusive Master Plumbers fuel pricing. You will need to cancel your existing Waitomo account and follow the application process to set up your Master Plumbers Waitomo Fuel Card.

Q: How does the pricing work?

A: The Master Plumbers Waitomo Fuel Card ensures you always pay the lowest price for your fuel. Your discounts will be based on the National Fuel Price which changes weekly. You'll never pay more than our tailored commercial rate or Waitomo's everyday low pump price – whichever is cheaper.

This system is particularly handy for truck stops, regional areas and premium petrol, where it beats standard discounts and other fuel card alternatives.

Q: How can I keep track of the National Fuel Price?

A: The exclusive Master Plumbers national rate is based on the National Fuel Price, which fluctuates weekly. We’ll share the Master Plumbers national rate with you every Friday, so you're always in the know.

Q: What could my savings look like for the coming week?

A: The Master Plumbers national rate is set by Waitomo weekly, which means discounts will change weekly too. Here are the average savings we saw for the first week of August 2024:

  • Diesel: Average saving 21.6 cents per litre (cpl). Highest saving 29.6cpl
  • 91: Average saving 4.5 cpl. Highest saving 19.8cpl
  • 95: Average saving 9.0 cpl. Highest saving 17.2cpl

The Master Plumbers national rate is set by Waitomo weekly on a Friday and applies from Saturday to the next Friday.

Waitomo sites: Master Plumbers use the Gaspy app to find the local pump price across 20 Waitomo sites across Aotearoa New Zealand each Friday to calculate potential savings.

Gaspy data is provided by members of the public so depends on the accuracy of the inputted data.

Average saving is calculated across 20 Waitomo sites by comparing the local pump price at each site against the national Master Plumbers rate.

Highest saving: the Waitomo site with the greatest saving.

Local pump prices may change at any time and without notice, hence the potential saving can vary.

Savings vary by region and can change at any time and are not guaranteed.

Master Plumber members can use the Gaspy app to see the current pump price in their location and then calculate their potential savings by comparing to the national Master Plumbers rate.

Q: Where is my nearest Waitomo fuel stop?

A: Find the store locator HERE. There are Waitomo fuel stops all around the North Island. The South Island currently has Waitomo fuel stops in Nelson, Christchurch, Timaru, Dunedin, Gore and Invercargill, with many more planned.

Q: Does this replace the Master Plumbers Mobilcard deal?

A: Not at all. It's in addition to our existing Mobilcard deal, so you can use both!
