The Government is reviewing the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Act 2006.
The preliminary report is expected to go to the Minister by December, with any changes to occur in 2019.
Master Plumbers has been asked to contribute its suggestions for change. We have engaged with the PGDB, MBIE and industry stakeholders to ensure we are representing member and wider industry needs.
Before submitting our document to MBIE, we have sought feedback from our Associations and Branches. The draft submission is now in the member log-in of our website for all members to access.
We'll also be discussing the Act review at the Master Plumbers Half Yearly Meeting on 16 October.
